Abortion II

February 5th, 2009 · 5 Comments

An update from the abortionists. If the baby is born through labor, no problem, kill, kill, kill. This is further down that slippery slope.

Think about it.

Not a slippery slope. That incident was malpractice and homicide (the fetus was born alive with air in it’s lungs).

    According to the CDC :
61% of reported legal induced abortions were known to have been obtained at <8 weeks’ gestation
28% of abortions were known to have been performed at <6 weeks’ gestation
    87% at <12 weeks.

So, the statistics show that most abortions are performed in the first trimester of pregnancy. At 23 weeks she was way over the cut off of most reputable clinics, but within the bounds of the law in most states. Furthermore, there is no reason to have an abortion that late in a pregnancy~ personal responsiblity.

You like to forget that most pro choice advocates tend not to favor abortion past the first trimester and would not hault legislation to limit it as such.

The problem is that there is a section of the extreme left that refuse to compromise at all, due to fear that the extreme right has made it clear that they will not stop until all abortion is illegal. I am not saying that the extremes of either side are at fault. I blame both stances.

“All empty souls tend toward extreme opinions”~ Yeats.

Yeats was referring to the turn of the century struggle for Irish nationalism and the blood that went with it so I don’t think it applies in this scenario.

The clinic owner will be defended by the left. It will be a knee jerk response but it will be vigorous and idiotic. A typical response “The mother obviously did not want the child… so why should she care in what conditions it died? This makes no sense to me. The job of the abortionist is to end the life of the fetus… seems like he accomplished this task in the end.”

No slippery slope? What should the outcome be if under the same scenario the clinic owner got to the child before the first breath? Is it ok then?

    13% > 12 weeks is 106,670. Frack, that’s a lot of killing.

Sure, it applies to all extremes.

..and what is the knee jerk response on the right? Ban all abortions. You see, that kind of attitude on both sides perpetuates both extremes. Funny how you know what the left is going to say before they even say it…isn’t that a faulty argument in itself accusing someone before they even take a stance…

No, 23 weeks is not okay as I addressed in my response above. It is negligent, hence why his license has already been revoked and the incident is under criminal investigation.

Even those who support abortion rights are concerned about the allegations.

“It really disturbed me,” Joanne Sterner, president of the Broward County chapter of the National Organization for Women, said after reviewing the administrative complaint against Renelique. “I know that there are clinics out there like this. And I hope that we can keep [women] from going to these types of clinics.”

Another step down that slippery slope.
